About Aahat

Rabya (Sania Saeed) and Amir (Salman Ahmad) enter marriage with the same modest dream: a loving home, financial stability, and enough room for their personal ambitions. That future begins to narrow as relatives and social expectations insist their family is incomplete without a son. Each new attempt adds another child, and the couple's household becomes a pressure cooker of bills, care work, disappointment, and unspoken resentment.

Written by Haseena Moin and directed by Sahira Kazmi, Aahat roots its family-planning theme in the intimate rhythms of an ordinary lower-middle-class home. Rabya must weigh her own health and identity against expectations that treat motherhood as duty without limit, while Amir confronts what those demands cost the woman beside him. Samina Ahmad and Qazi Wajid help give the family world its generational texture. Warm, observant, and socially alert, the serial turns a public issue into a deeply personal question: who pays when tradition defines the size and shape of a happy family?

Editor’s Take

Haseena Moin's sharpest move is making family planning feel less like a slogan and more like pressure closing in around an ordinary marriage. Sania Saeed gives Rabya's exhaustion a quietly stubborn center, while the compact domestic world keeps every compromise uncomfortably close. Our one gripe? The message occasionally arrives with the volume turned up, leaving little room for subtext. Even so, Aahat's empathy and clear-eyed modernity still sting. This is social drama with a pulse.
