Aik Muhabbat So Afsaney turns Ashfaq Ahmed's celebrated short-story collection into an anthology about the many shapes love takes when money, custom and fate start pressing in. Rather than follow a single household, each episode opens a new emotional world. One story follows a married couple whose devotion is tested when poverty and family expectations send the husband to Kuwait. Another enters the pastoral life of Feroza, a gentle young woman whose blind mother fears that forces beyond their world may be watching her. Elsewhere, Habib and Mumtaz are pulled between affection, marriage, bereavement and clashing ideas of tradition and freedom. The shifting characters allow the drama to move from intimate domestic pain to folklore and spiritual unease without losing its central question: what remains of love when circumstances demand a sacrifice? PTV's compact selection is best approached as six self-contained literary dramas, united by Ashfaq Ahmed's compassionate interest in ordinary people and the hidden costs of their choices.
