About Alif Noon

Alif Noon follows Allan (Kamal Ahmed Rizvi), a silver-tongued schemer forever chasing the next shortcut to easy money, and Nanha (Rafi Khawar), his trusting, soft-hearted companion. Allan dreams up dubious businesses and clever cons, then places Nanha at the centre of them, counting on his innocence to win over customers. The trouble is that Nanha's instinctive honesty keeps knocking holes in even Allan's most polished plans.

Each self-contained adventure turns a fresh corner of everyday life into comedy, from questionable antique shops and rotten bakeries to beauty parlours and gymnasiums. Beneath the odd-couple fun sits a precise social satire about fraud, greed, corruption and the small compromises people make when profit beckons. Rizvi's writing gives the pair sharply contrasting moral instincts without draining either man of humanity. Warm, witty and disarmingly direct, Alif Noon makes serious criticism feel like effortless entertainment, inviting viewers to laugh at familiar weaknesses while recognising how stubbornly they survive.

Editor’s Take

Rizvi and Khawar turn a simple odd-couple setup into satire with teeth. Allan's oily confidence colliding with Nanha's open-hearted honesty gives every con a comic snap, and the social targets still feel uncannily familiar. Our one gripe? The scheme, stumble, exposure rhythm can become predictable across a run of episodes. Even so, the writing never mistakes noise for wit. This is foundational Pakistani television comedy, sharp enough to sting and warm enough to revisit.
