About Ankahi
Ankahi follows Sana Murad (Shehnaz Sheikh), a spirited young woman from a modest Karachi household who refuses to let hardship shrink her ambitions. After losing her father early, she sets her sights on financial security and enters an office world for which she is spectacularly unprepared. Her mistakes arrive fast, but so do the wit and resilience that make her impossible to dismiss. Faraz Aafreedi (Javed Sheikh), confident and socially assured, is drawn to Sana's irrepressible energy, complicating a life already shaped by family responsibilities, grief, sacrifice and the pressure to move upward. Written by Haseena Moin, the serial folds romance into a warm portrait of middle-class urban life, where affection is often left unsaid and comedy shares a room with real economic anxiety. Its deepest pleasure lies in watching Sana collide with expectations while learning how ambition, love and loyalty can pull a person in very different directions. The wider ensemble gives those tensions a lively, lived-in household texture.
