Baar-e-Wafa

About Baar-e-Wafa

Baar-e-Wafa is HUM TV's 2026 Independence Day telefilm, and it marks the occasion by turning to the devastating impact of war and global unrest on the ordinary families who have to live through it. Noor ul Huda Shah writes and Saife Hassan directs, and the tagline says it plainly: the earth is our mother, and mothers do not want war.

Hadiqa Kiani heads a cast that includes Sidra Niazi, Osman Khalid Butt, Syed Jibran and Asma Abbas, in what the channel bills as a story of love, humanity and hope, built on the idea that the greatest victory is not won on a battlefield but in the hearts that choose peace. Along the way it takes aim at the fake news that races ahead of the facts in wartime. Sultana Siddiqui produces.
