About Baddua (Movie)
Baddua follows Abeer (Amar Khan), a magnetic young woman who treats admiration as a game and knows exactly how easily her charm can turn heads. Her confidence meets its match in Junaid (Muneeb Butt), a man with an equally flirtatious streak. The complication is immediate and combustible: Junaid is engaged to Abeer's best friend, yet Abeer finds herself drawn to him after meeting him. What begins as a thrill pushes friendship, loyalty, and desire into the same dangerously crowded space. Abeer is used to controlling the attention around her, but Junaid mirrors the very habits that make her so reckless, turning their attraction into a contest neither can keep harmless. Written by Sameena Aijaz, Baddua builds its romantic conflict around two people who play with feelings and then find themselves caught inside the game. It is a morally tangled melodrama about temptation, betrayal, and the cost of treating hearts as trophies.
Editor’s Take
Baddua's smartest hook is the mirror it holds between Abeer and Junaid: two practiced flirts discovering that attraction gets far messier when the game turns personal. We like the combustible symmetry, and the best-friend betrayal gives every romantic beat a nasty little sting. Our gripe is the familiarity. Early viewers compared the morally thorny premise to Jalan, so the provocation can feel recycled instead of daring. Still, this is unapologetically messy melodrama, and that mess has bite.
