About Baydardi

Baydardi turns a romance into a sharply felt study of illness, secrecy, and social cruelty. Bia (Aiman Khan) is a resilient young woman whose family is already carrying grief when an accident forces her to take her brother's place at work. There she meets Shafay (Affan Waheed), the privileged but warm-hearted head of the company, and their uneasy connection begins to soften into love. Their future is threatened when Shafay's declining health reveals an HIV diagnosis that his protective mother Maimoona (Bushra Ansari) chooses to conceal. Her decision traps Bia inside a marriage shaped by fear, misinformation, and a stigma that falls most brutally on women. Written by Shagufta Bhatti, the serial uses its family drama to confront myths about HIV transmission without losing sight of the people crushed by them. Aiman Khan and Affan Waheed give the central relationship tenderness, while Bushra Ansari makes maternal devotion feel both understandable and frightening.

Baydardi is at its best when it turns HIV stigma into a family betrayal rather than a lecture. The misery sometimes piles on so heavily that subtlety gets crowded out. Still, this is socially conscious melodrama with a pulse, brave enough to make misinformation the villain and empathy the lasting point.
