About Contractors

Nigar (Shamim Hilaly) and Rashid (Mohammed Ahmed) look like an ordinary elderly couple sharing their home with Sara (Mamya Shajaffar), a young tenant who dreams of studying abroad. Their affection for her runs deeper than she realizes: a tragedy in Sara's past is tied to the couple, and the guilt has turned her future into their private responsibility. There is another secret behind their gentle domestic routine. Nigar and Rashid are contract killers, seasoned enough to treat danger with the weary shorthand of a long marriage. When retired government official Badar (Mahmood Aslam) offers them one last assignment, they see a way to pay for Sara's education and finally leave their violent profession behind. The job, however, refuses to stay tidy. As complications mount and Sara begins questioning the people she trusts most, this five-part crime story folds suspense, dry humor, and an unexpectedly tender portrait of aging into one brisk, offbeat package.
