About Dil Lagi

Set in the narrow streets of Sukkur, Dil Lagi begins with a fight over a family home. Headstrong Anmol (Mehwish Hayat) lives with her widowed mother and younger sister, carrying the burden of a debt her late father had already paid but the family cannot prove. When a moneylender tries to seize the property, he sends influential real-estate operator Mohid (Humayun Saeed) to force the family out. Anmol refuses to be intimidated, and her fierce resistance catches Mohid completely off guard. Their confrontation grows into a battle between two equally stubborn people: one determined to choose her own future, the other used to having his authority obeyed. Around them, Mohid's formidable mother Zulekha (Saba Hameed) brings her own sharp ideas about loyalty, justice, and love. Written by Faiza Iftikhar and directed by Nadeem Baig, the drama turns a tense property dispute into a spirited romance driven by pride, family pressure, and undeniable attraction.

Editor’s Take

Mehwish Hayat makes Anmol feel gloriously alive: fearless, practical, and far too sharp to become anybody's shrinking violet. Humayun Saeed answers her fire with controlled charm, and Nadeem Baig lets their chemistry crackle without flattening either character. Our one gripe? The slap-heavy storytelling reaches for violence when Faiza Iftikhar's dialogue is already doing the job. Even so, this is romantic sparring with real personality, powered by two leads who know exactly when to push and when to pause.
