About Dobara

After the death of her much older husband, Mehrunissa (Hadiqa Kiani) confronts a life she barely got to choose. Married young and disciplined into silence, the middle-aged widow decides that grief will not become another set of rules. Her bid for freedom unsettles relatives and children who expect obedience, especially when she meets Mahir (Bilal Abbas Khan), a younger man shaped by a fractured family and hungry for belonging. Their connection offers both of them comfort, but an age-reversed romance draws suspicion from a society comfortable with older husbands and scandalised by an older wife. Written by Sarwat Nazir, Dobara turns second chances into a contest over agency, inheritance, family loyalty, and who gets to define respectability.
