About Dum Mastam

Set amid the colour and bustle of old Lahore, Dum Mastam follows childhood friends Sikandar Hayat Khan, better known as Bao (Imran Ashraf), and Alia Butt (Amar Khan), two performers whose dreams pull them toward the same spotlight and in very different directions. Bao is a loud, impulsive musician who wears his devotion openly; Alia is a pragmatic, fiercely ambitious dancer determined to build a life beyond neighbourhood expectations. She has little patience for his idle swagger, even as their shared history keeps drawing them back together. When opportunity reshuffles their fortunes, affection gives way to bruised pride, professional rivalry, and the fear that one person's success may cost the other everything. Writer Amar Khan and director Mohammad Ehteshamuddin wrap that push and pull in Punjabi humour, family warmth, energetic dance, and a soundtrack built for the cinema. The result is a colourful romantic musical about love learning to survive ambition, ego, and sudden fame.
