About Grey

An accusation lands, and within hours it stops being a private matter. Grey follows Salaar (Sami Khan), a man whose polished public life buckles the moment his name is attached to a charge, and the woman (Sabeena Farooq) whose version of events refuses to bend under pressure. Rida Bilal's script sets the two inside a world built on fame, glamour, and power, then lets public opinion do what a courtroom cannot: convict on sight. Consent, reputation, and the sheer machinery of character assassination are all on the table. Directed by Sohail Javed for Green Entertainment, the serial keeps circling the same events from conflicting perspectives, with Faizan Sheikh, Paras Masroor, Zoha Rehman, and Mahenur Haider as the families, colleagues, and bystanders who each need a different truth to be the real one. Sixteen episodes, no easy villains, and a title that means exactly what it says.

Casting Sami Khan as a man you cannot quite read is the smartest decision Grey makes: he plays Salaar so persuasively grey that you catch yourself building a defence for him, then flinching at it. Sabeena Farooq refuses to be the fragile victim the genre expects, and Sohail Javed shoots it with a taut, bingeable restraint. Our one gripe? The show is so committed to withholding a verdict that viewers wanting closure will feel short-changed. Uncomfortable in the best way.
