About Gumn
Top criminal lawyer Maya Malik (Tooba Siddiqui) has built a formidable life, yet her father's murder still shadows every case and every quiet moment. Her search for the truth pulls her toward Rayyan (Feroze Qadri), a guarded man carrying his own violent loss and a fierce hunger for justice. As their paths cross, suspicion gives way to an uneasy alliance, and each becomes a rare refuge for the other while powerful men close ranks around old crimes. Written by Tooba Siddiqui and Hamza Qazi, Gumn trades the familiar family-drama sprawl for a compact world of lawyers, police officers, hitmen and buried loyalties. The pleasure lies in watching Maya and Rayyan test what justice means when institutions have failed them, with Furqan Qureshi's Shahid keeping every allegiance in doubt. It is a tense, character-led mystery with a restrained romantic pulse, built for viewers who want their Pakistani drama darker, sharper and refreshingly concise.
Editor’s Take
Gumn understands that suspense works best when characters, not noise, tighten the screws. Tooba Siddiqui gives Maya a steely intelligence without sanding away her fear, while Feroze Qadri makes Rayyan's restraint feel combustible. We love how Sarmad Khoosat lets the romance flicker inside the crime story instead of hijacking it. Our one gripe? That restraint occasionally leaves their bond a little underfed. Still, smart twists and disciplined pacing make this rare Pakistani thriller feel genuinely grown-up.
