About Joru Ka Ghulam

Moazam (Mehmood Aslam) does not run a household so much as a regime. Convinced a woman's opinion is worth nothing, he married the middle class Uzma (Ghazala Kanwal), raised four sons on that creed, then marries all of them off on the same day to girls he picked himself. When he learns that one son has fallen in love, he answers with a punishment wedding to a scheming, uneducated bride. He also marries his intellectually disabled son to a quiet orphan girl who only learns the truth after the ceremony. Not one of the boys can find the voice to refuse him, and every one of them has been raised to rule his wife exactly as their father rules his, so the house starts coming apart from the inside. Seema Ghazal's Har Pal Geo serial keeps circling one question: can Uzma hold this family together, and can any daughter-in-law survive the man at the head of the table?
