Marium (Ramsha Khan) grows up in a loving Pakistani household where her father, Jamal (Waseem Abbas), wants to secure her future. When his sister Musarrat (Uzma Gillani) proposes a match with her Malaysia-based son Ahmed (Muneeb Butt), the promise of comfort abroad seems too good to refuse. Marriage quickly strips away that illusion. In Malaysia, Marium discovers that the family's wealth was a performance, their finances are crumbling, and she has been brought into the home as both servant and breadwinner. Ahmed's charm gives way to control and violence, while Musarrat uses guilt and family honour to keep Marium isolated. Kaisa Hai Naseeban turns a familiar dream of an overseas marriage into a tense warning about appearances, silence, and the danger of treating daughters as burdens to be settled. At its centre is Marium's struggle to recognise the trap around her and find the courage to reclaim her own life.

Ramsha Khan gives Marium a quiet, flinching alertness that gradually hardens into resolve, while Muneeb Butt makes Ahmed's flashes of charm feel as unsettling as his cruelty. We could feel the walls of that Malaysian apartment closing in. Our one gripe? The repeated physical and verbal abuse sometimes becomes numbing when restraint would have hit harder. Still, across 26 episodes, the drama turns a glittering overseas-marriage fantasy into a warning with real bite. Punishing television, but purposeful.
