About Khana Khud Gharam Karo

Born from the conversation around one of Aurat March's most debated slogans, Khana Khud Garam Karo turns a household power struggle into an Eid comedy. Rumana (Aiman Khan) and Manzar (Affan Waheed) are newlyweds trying to find their rhythm when their flamboyantly meddlesome neighbour Jameela (Nadia Khan) decides their marriage needs a lesson in equality. Jameela's own marriage to Khalid (Saleem Mairaj) runs on a very different balance, and her advice begins pushing Rumana and Manzar's ordinary disagreements towards domestic chaos. Written by Faiza Iftikhar and directed by Kashif Saleem, the telefilm uses misunderstandings, role reversals and sharp marital banter to ask who carries the invisible work at home, and who gets to decide what a fair partnership looks like. The mood stays light and mischievous, but the argument underneath is recognisable: a marriage cannot thrive when respect and responsibility travel in only one direction.

Editor’s Take

Nadia Khan commits fully to Jameela's meddling, turning every entrance into a domestic alarm bell. Our one gripe? Her performance and the surrounding farce are often pitched so broadly that the gender debate becomes noise, where a little restraint could have cut deeper. Still, Aiman Khan and Affan Waheed give the chaos an affectionate centre, and the viral-slogan premise has genuine bite. It serves its message hot, even when the seasoning gets heavy.
