About Khwaab Nagar Ki Shehzadi

Meera (Mashal Khan) has the life she wanted: a warm home, a devoted husband in Saim (Mikaal Zulfiqar), a young son, and enough kindness left over to take in a girl who needs work. That girl is Sehar (Anmol Baloch), an ambitious young woman who will go to any length to get everything she has imagined. Hired as a maid, Sehar reads the household the way a strategist reads a map: which loyalties are soft, which vanity can be flattered, which door is left unlocked. Gratitude hardens into design, with her sister Sameena (Aidah Sheikh) firmly on her side, and the marriage at the centre of the house begins to come apart from the inside. Written by Ali Moeen and Rehana Aftab, directed by Syed Ramish Rizvi, this is a domestic siege where the intruder never has to force the door. She was invited in.

Editor’s Take

Mashal Khan's Meera is the saving grace here: a wronged wife with enough spine to keep you invested long after the plot stops surprising you, and the friction between the three leads genuinely crackles. Our gripe? It is a well-worn story stretched well past its natural length, and by the back half the dramatics are dialled so high they stop stinging. Come for the performances, forgive the plotting.
