Maang turns a marriage proposal into a fault line through one already fragile household. Sisters Saba (Beenish Chauhan) and Hira (Neelum Muneer) could hardly be more different: Saba is dutiful and gentle, while Hira is spirited, bookish, and openly uninterested in domestic expectations. Hira believes she has a future with office worker Asad (Danish Taimoor), but his calculating mother (Zaheen Tahira) quietly tests both women and decides that Saba would make the more obedient daughter-in-law. Asad bows to the switch even though his heart lies elsewhere, leaving one sister in a marriage built on concealment and the other watching the life she expected move across the same family threshold. Written by Zoha Hassan and set within a home already strained by money and convention, the serial follows how love, resentment, and the demand for a compliant bride turn sisterhood into a contest neither woman truly chose. It is domestic melodrama with a cruelly efficient hook: one proposal, three wounded lives, and no honest way forward.
