About Mah e Tamaam

Mah e Tamaam begins inside a household where affection has curdled into a contest for attention. Umair (Emmad Irfani) has raised his younger sister Shifa (Ramsha Khan) with fierce devotion, but his marriage to Samahir (Naveen Waqar) unsettles that bond. Shifa is impulsive and intensely attached to her brother; Samahir enters the family hoping to build a life with Umair, only to find herself measured against a sister who is not ready to share him. Their domestic friction pulls the wider household into a tense tug of loyalties. Alongside it, Shifa's friendship with Taqi (Wahaj Ali) begins to deepen, then unusual circumstances push the pair into marriage before their feelings have fully caught up. Writer Amna Riaz adapts her own novel into a romantic family drama about possessiveness, maturity and the uneasy work of making room for new relationships. Ramsha Khan and Wahaj Ali give the softer romance a welcome spark, especially when Taqi and Shifa's friendship starts feeling warmer than the household warfare around it. Our one gripe? The brother-sister possessiveness is pitched so loudly that its predictability can wear thin, echoing Dawn's early criticism of the setup.
