About Marvi
"Marvi” is a modern adaptation of the classic Sindhi folk tale Umar Marvi, reimagining the story in a contemporary setting. The series follows Marvi, a determined village girl who leaves her rural home to study in the city with the hope of returning to uplift her community. But her dreams take an unexpected turn as she faces hardship, betrayal, and societal pressure. When her possessive lover becomes dangerously obsessed and she is kidnapped by a powerful feudal friend, Marvi struggles to reclaim her freedom and dignity. Throughout the series, she fights against feudal oppression and defends her rights in a world that constantly tries to silence her voice—highlighting themes of courage, resilience, and women’s empowerment.
