About Mein Adhuri

Mein Adhuri turns marriage vows into a wrenching test of ownership, duty and motherhood. Areesha (Saniya Shamshad) enters her life with Sooban (Azfar Rehman) believing love is something two partners exchange freely. That ideal is shaken when Sooban treats sacrifice as proof of devotion and asks her to surrender their baby to his sister Rabia (Nausheen Shah), who cannot have a child. The demand does not stay between husband and wife. Sooban's commanding mother Zubaida (Saba Hameed) pushes the arrangement as a family obligation, turning Areesha's most intimate hope into a contract negotiated around her. Writer Seema Shaikh builds the drama around a question that cuts deeper than its domestic setting: how much can a marriage demand before love becomes coercion? With Hassan Niazi, Talat Hussain, Ayesha Toor and Khalid Malik surrounding the central couple, the story promises an emotionally charged look at sacrifice, power and a woman fighting to feel whole.
