About Meri Uraan
Roha (Anika Zulfikar) is an ambitious architecture student whose talent should make her a natural choice to help lead her family's business. Instead, every achievement runs into the same stubborn verdict: a daughter cannot survive, let alone take charge, in a man's world. Even with her parents beside her, Roha must push against relatives who prize sons, police outspoken women, and treat marriage as the proper limit of a girl's imagination.
Zanjabeel Asim Shah's telefilm places that struggle inside a lively joint-family world, where romance, rivalry, class pride, and inherited prejudice all crowd the drawing room. Syed Shahroz Sabzwari brings warmth to Roha's path, while Hina Bayat, Simi Raheal, Shabbir Jaan, and a seasoned ensemble give the family conflict real texture. Meri Uraan is an encouraging story about earning the right to dream on your own terms, and about a young woman determined to make ability matter more than gender.

Anika Zulfikar gives Meri Uraan its lift: her Roha is bright, bracingly direct, and easy to cheer for. We also loved how Shehrazade Sheikh and Muskaan Kadwani keep a message-heavy story moving with handsome frames, music, and a welcome streak of romance. Our one gripe? The script sometimes pushes its case so hard that women who choose domestic life get shortchanged. Still, this is purposeful television with pulse, not a lecture in costume.
