About Nazar Kay Samnay
Burns Road runs on chai, engine grease and gossip, and Saleem, a young mechanic, has spent four years there quietly losing his heart. The object of it is Hanna, an orphan who moved into the neighbourhood with her aged spinster khala and became, by unanimous local verdict, the prettiest girl on the block. She lives a stone's throw from his house. He has never managed a full sentence in her direction. So Saleem plays the only role he knows: the Romeo who admires from a distance and rehearses conversations that never happen. Then the alternative acquires a name. Asma, his childhood friend, is the sensible marriage he could simply make peace with, which leaves Saleem one narrowing window to say the thing he has been swallowing since she moved in. Har Pal Geo's Eid telefilm is a warm, comic love story from the heart of Karachi.
