About Neeli Zinda Hai

Neeli Zinda Hai turns a crumbling marriage into a haunted-house pressure cooker. Sumbul (Sonia Mishal) is grieving a stillbirth, living with a distant husband and trying to reach a daughter who barely speaks. Aman (Mohib Mirza) wants to repair their family, but his refusal to take Sumbul's fears seriously leaves her isolated inside Neeli House. Then young Minaal befriends someone no one else can see: Neeli (Urwa Hocane), a restless spirit whose presence pulls buried pain toward the surface. Kinza Malik adds another layer of menace as Meher Bano, Aman's controlling mother, whose hostility and interest in black magic make home feel unsafe even before the paranormal activity takes hold. Written by Adeel Razzaq and directed by Qasim Ali Mureed, the serial blends family politics, grief and supernatural suspense into a story about a broken household fighting forces it barely understands. Come for the ghost story, stay for the uneasy question of who is truly haunting whom.

Urwa Hocane gives Neeli a spectral pull, but Sonia Mishal's frayed, lonely Sumbul is the performance that makes the haunting hurt. We love how the supernatural threat seeps into an already poisoned household, letting the family drama sharpen every scare. Our one gripe? Across 39 episodes, the intrigue loses some bite as the pace slows and familiar family politics crowd the mystery. Still, Pakistani television rarely commits to horror this boldly, and this eerie experiment earns its chill.
