About Nikah

Anusha (Zainab Shabbir) has grown up under the loving care of her aunt Umaima after losing her mother, and she has learned to speak plainly about the rights she believes every woman deserves. Confident, educated and deeply in love with her classmate Haris, she expects their marriage to begin as a partnership. That certainty fractures when her insistence on including the right to divorce in her nikahnama exposes how conditional Haris and his supposedly progressive family can be. As Anusha faces the fallout, the drama follows her struggle to hold on to her dignity, independence and faith in her own judgment.
