Pas e Deewar follows Ujala (Noor Zafar Khan) and Iftikhar (Arsalan Naseer), a loving married couple trying to build a modest life in rural Pakistan. Their happiness is tested when powerful feudal lord Chaudhry Hashmat targets their land, turning an everyday struggle to make ends meet into a fight against influence, intimidation, and a system tilted toward the wealthy. As Iftikhar refuses to surrender his principles, Ujala's resourcefulness and loyalty become the couple's strongest defense. Ali Rehman Khan enters their orbit as Shabbir, an ambitious political operator whose interest in Ujala brings another layer of danger, while Saleem Sheikh's Hamid Zaman embodies the larger power game closing around them. Written by Shagufta Bhatti, the serial moves between domestic tenderness, rural hardship, prison life, political maneuvering, and the media's uneasy role in exposing corruption. It is a socially conscious slow-burn built around a marriage under siege, asking how far honesty can carry ordinary people when money and power seem to control every door.

Editor’s Take

Arsalan Naseer and Noor Zafar Khan give this grim power struggle its pulse: their easy, unshowy chemistry makes Iftikhar and Ujala feel married before the plot starts squeezing them. We also like how the rural landscapes and political-media intrigue widen a domestic crisis into something more unsettling. Our gripe is the occasional drag, and Ujala's immaculate prison makeup dulls the hardship the story wants us to feel. Still, this is a bruising slow-burn with more nerve than formula.
