Pehchaan begins with a marriage that appears settled from the outside and suddenly fractures when Sharmeen, known as Cookie (Hiba Bukhari), walks away from her husband Adnan (Syed Jibran), their children, and the routines holding the household together. Her refusal to explain turns a domestic separation into a slow-burning mystery. Through the story she tells about a friend trapped with an unfaithful husband, writer Rubina Kabir Khan asks whether Cookie is recounting someone else's pain or disguising her own. As Adnan and both families struggle to make sense of her anger, loyalty, self-respect, parenthood, and the hunger to be loved rather than merely needed all come under scrutiny. Nadia Khan, Nadia Hussain, and Mirza Zain Baig help fill out a family world eager to judge before it understands. The result is a marriage drama with the pull of a whodunit, inviting viewers to question whose version of a relationship deserves belief.
