About Pehli Si Muhabbat
In a neighbourhood ruled by family reputation, Aslam (Sheheryar Munawar), the youngest son in a rigid household, falls for Rakshi (Maya Ali), a sheltered young woman who measures love against duty to her father. Their families' bitter hostility turns a tender first romance into a test of loyalty, especially under Aslam's controlling elder brother Akram (Hassan Sheheryar Yasin) and the weight of decisions made on Rakshi's behalf. Around them, the women of both homes reveal the wider cost of that pride: Aslam's sister Zainab (Uzma Hassan) lives with choices imposed upon her, while Rakshi's stepmother Nargis (Rabia Butt) challenges the neighbourhood's easy judgments. Written by Faiza Iftikhar, Pehli Si Muhabbat wraps its love story in questions about consent, family honour, and a woman's right to shape her own life. The romance is aching and intimate, but the world pressing in around it gives the drama its real bite.

Sheheryar Munawar and Maya Ali make Aslam and Rakshi's first love feel bruisingly sincere, but the drama's sharper surprise is its quiet defence of women denied a say in their own lives. We especially love how Nargis cuts through the neighbourhood's moral posturing. Our one gripe? The central romance follows a familiar, predictable path and sometimes lingers over its sorrow. Still, Faiza Iftikhar gives an old-fashioned love story a welcome feminist pulse.
