About Phir Wohi Mohabbat

Phir Wohi Mohabbat begins with one reckless act that fractures an already tense household. After Ashar (Shamoon Abbasi) causes a devastating accident, the family's trusted servant Raffiq (Saleem Mairaj) retaliates by abducting Ashar's young daughter, Alishba. Fifteen years later, Alishba (Hania Aamir), raised under another name and unaware of her past, returns to Karachi and unknowingly enters the home of her birth family. Her presence reopens old wounds, unsettles carefully guarded loyalties, and draws her toward Waleed (Ahmed Ali Akbar), the cousin whose own future appears neatly arranged. Writer Mansoor Saeed builds the romance inside a knot of guilt, revenge, class resentment, and disputed belonging, while the ensemble gives the family conflict its emotional weight. It is a melodrama driven less by chance encounters than by the dangerous pull of buried truth, asking whether affection can survive when every relationship has been shaped by a secret.

Editor’s Take

The opening tragedy has real bite, and Hania Aamir gives Alishba a warmth that makes her return to this wounded household easy to invest in. Ahmed Ali Akbar's gentle Waleed is an effective counterweight, while Zainab Qayyum does some of the heavier emotional lifting. Our gripe? The drama trades its distinctive revenge setup for familiar romantic complications, and a few character turns arrive before the feelings have earned them. Strong start, uneven road, watchable heart.
