About Qaid e Tanhai
Qaid e Tanhai turns a love marriage into a study of distance, duty and the unequal rules that govern a wife left behind. Aisha (Savera Nadeem) marries Moiz (Faysal Quraishi) despite family resistance, only for financial pressure and his controlling mother, Aliya (Saba Hameed), to push him overseas. What is meant to secure their future becomes a decade of silence. Moiz builds another life abroad while Aisha raises their daughter Noor (Neelam Muneer) amid loneliness, suspicion and a household that discounts her sacrifices. When the dependable Jawad offers companionship and kindness, the same family that excuses Moiz's choices turns Aisha's need for tenderness into a scandal. Written by Umera Ahmed, this 20-episode Hum TV drama keeps its focus on the emotional cost of migration and marriage rather than easy villains. Savera Nadeem gives the story its bruised, steady heart, while the fractured family around her makes every conversation feel loaded with history.
Editor’s Take
Umera Ahmed's sharpest move is refusing to romanticize sacrifice: Moiz's absence is praised, while Aisha's loneliness is treated like a crime. Savera Nadeem gives that double standard a bruised, quietly furious centre, and the story's questions about companionship still sting. Our one gripe? Some of the family antagonism is drawn in very thick ink. Even so, the emotional argument lands cleanly. This is old-school family melodrama with a conscience, and it earns every ache.
