Every household that plans a qurbani knows the arithmetic: what the animal costs, and what the month has left over. In this Har Pal Geo telefilm, four brothers who are only just covering their monthly expenses decide they are bringing home a gaye anyway, and the scramble to gather the money becomes the whole family's project. Bhabhis, husbands, wives, brothers and the mother all get pulled into one big task, each with an angle, a grievance and a plan of their own. Running underneath it is Mehboob's private deadline, a matric supplementary paper he has to clear, and this is his last chance at it. Written by Nuzaira Imam and directed by Gul Zaib Shakeel, it plays as a happy-go-lucky family comedy with real affection for people counting every rupee, carried by an ensemble of Faisal Qazi, Faheem Azam, Adnan Hussain, Hassam Khan, Kehkashan Faisal, Jia Khan and Zareen Naz.
