About Saeedabad Ki Saeeda
In Saeedabad Ki Saeeda, Saeeda (Hareem Farooq) is an ordinary young woman sharing a modest life with her father, Mirza Liaqat (Mehmood Aslam), while neighborhood layabout Saleem (Azfar Rehman) and his friend make daily life needlessly cruel. The mood shifts when Saeeda's confident cousin Laraib arrives from Dubai and refuses to let the harassment pass as harmless fun. Then a sudden lottery win transforms Saeeda's prospects, and the same men who dismissed her begin circling with suspiciously polished intentions.
The Eid telefilm turns that reversal into a compact comedy of vanity, money, and romantic opportunism. Saeeda is no passive prize: with Laraib in her corner, she gets room to test loyalties and make her would-be suitors reveal themselves. Hareem Farooq gives the chaos a grounded center, while Mehmood Aslam, Saba Faisal, and Saife Hassan fill the family scenes with seasoned comic rhythm. It is a light, pointed watch about who notices your worth before fortune does.
Editor’s Take
Hareem Farooq keeps Saeeda bright and self-possessed, but Saife Hassan steals the frame with effortless comic warmth. We also enjoyed the sly reversal of parents trying to pass their own feckless son off on somebody else's niece. Our gripe? Too much of the humor treats harassment as a setup, and the predictable plotting dulls Saeeda's revenge. Still, when the family banter takes over, this Eid telefilm finds a mischievous pulse worth watching.
