About Sangchoor
Set against a rural, feudal society, Sangchoor follows Jahanzeb (Hassam Qazi), an ambitious young man who draws Fehmi (Bushra Ansari), the daughter of a wealthy family, into a marriage built on deception and self-interest. What begins as courtship becomes a sharper struggle over status, control and a woman's right to be treated as more than a means to someone else's rise. Around them, Tauqeer (Ayaz Naik), Inspector Azhar (Sajjad Kishwar), Arifa (Khalida Parveen) and Muhabbat Khan (Tariq Malik) inhabit a world where wealth and tradition protect the powerful while the vulnerable are expected to suffer quietly. Written by Rahat Naseem Malik and directed by Iqbal Ansari, this compact PTV classic turns a domestic conflict into an examination of dignity, marriage and women's agency in a changing Pakistan. Its small scale keeps the focus on the human cost of ambition when affection, class and authority become tools of possession.
