Shikwa follows Munazza (Irsa Ghazal), a widowed mother trying to hold together a household of two daughters and a son after financial loss and grief overturn their lives. Her eldest, Meher (Sonia Hussain), is young, spirited and reluctant to let hardship dictate her future. Munazza's fear for her daughters, however, drives her toward a difficult solution: marrying Meher to Saqib (Wasim Abbas), an older cousin whose decency and sacrifices cannot erase the gulf between them. Meher resists, then bends beneath family pressure, carrying her disappointment into a marriage shaped by duty rather than choice.

Written by Sarwat Nazeer, the serial places economic insecurity, social judgment and the burden of family loyalty inside one strained home. Its sharpest tension comes from people acting out of care while still causing lasting hurt. For viewers drawn to emotionally charged family dramas, Shikwa offers a bruising look at how fear, gratitude and unequal expectations can complicate even sincere relationships.

Sonia Hussain gives Meher a raw, restless charge, while Irsa Ghazal and Wasim Abbas keep the family conflict painfully human. We admire how Sarwat Nazeer's script turns age, duty and economic fear into pressures rather than easy villains. Our one gripe? At 27 episodes, the later tracks stretch thin, only for the resolution to hurry through its payoff. Still, this is bruising domestic drama with performances that linger.
