About Tabeer

Two newly married couples begin Tabeer with the same hope: children on the way and homes they are eager to build. Tabeer (Iqra Aziz) shares a modest, affectionate life with Yasir (Imran Ashraf), who works for the warm-hearted businessman Fawad (Shehzad Sheikh). Fawad and his wife Zarnish (Eshal Fayyaz) seem equally settled, though illness and family tensions shadow their happiness. When Tabeer is widowed, her future narrows overnight to grief, financial insecurity, and the difficult task of protecting what her husband left behind. Fawad's instinct to help draws the two households closer, while meddling relatives, property greed, and the bitter Ajju (Ali Safina) turn private sorrow into a fight for dignity. Its domestic world is crowded with possessive parents, watchful elders, and relationships strained by class and dependency, giving every choice consequences beyond romance. Written by Imran Ashraf and directed by Ahson Talish, Tabeer is a deeply emotional story about bereavement, responsibility, and the fragile possibility of rebuilding a life after loss.

Editor’s Take

Iqra Aziz gives Tabeer's grief a bruised, intimate weight, and Imran Ashraf's dialogue lets the quieter family scenes sting without theatrics. We admire how seriously Ahson Talish treats loss, but the sorrow can become suffocating, with the middle stretch piling on misery long after the point has landed. This is not comfort viewing. It is a heavy, heartfelt drama whose emotional honesty stays with us, even when its relentless gloom makes pressing play feel like a commitment.
