About Wehem

Wehem slips a young romance inside a tense household mystery. Rukhsana (Savera Nadeem) has built an independent life after her husband's disappearance, raising her son Junaid (Zaviyar Nauman Ijaz) while enduring a bitter mother-in-law (Shamim Hilali). To everyone around her, Rukhsana appears capable, caring and fiercely protective. Beneath that polished surface, old resentment and a need for control begin to unsettle the family. When Junaid grows close to his cousin Eshal (Kinza Hashmi), Rukhsana's objections turn their relationship into another pressure point, and Eshal starts questioning the version of Rukhsana the household has accepted. Written by Imran Nazir, the serial threads romance through suspicion, family grudges and the uneasy question of whether fear is imagined or carefully planted. Its strongest pull is the home itself: every exchange can shift from ordinary affection to something quietly menacing, leaving Eshal to decide how far she will go to expose what she sees.

Wehem works best when Savera Nadeem and Shamim Hilali turn an ordinary family room into a psychological battleground. Their smallest pauses carry more menace than the louder twists, and Imran Nazir's script keeps Rukhsana intriguingly difficult to read. Our one gripe? The younger romance sometimes feels like a side plot beside the senior actors' sharper, stranger material. Still, this is a domestic thriller with real atmosphere, the kind that makes a familiar home feel quietly unsafe.
