The Story Behind Adha Ishq
Adha Ishq is Hira Tajwar and Atif Khan's duet for Green Entertainment's 2026 Eid telefilm Pyaar Ka Punch, released on YouTube on 20 March. Khan composed the song and co-wrote its lyrics with Emmi, while Khalid Mir and Mridul Arora handled the mix and mastering.
This recording brings two billed voices to a soundtrack that also includes Raheel Fayyaz's separate song For Love. Green introduces Adha Ishq through the idea of a love story left incomplete, giving the duet its own emotional frame within the telefilm's romance. A digital release followed on 16 April under the name Adha Ishq Hua (From "Pyaar Ka Punch"), with both singers billed together. The paired vocal billing and shared lyric credit distinguish this song from Fayyaz's solo contribution.
Meaning & Translation
Adha Ishq means "half love", more naturally understood as love that remains incomplete. Adha describes something unfinished, while ishq carries the sense of deep romantic attachment. The title therefore holds intensity and incompleteness together: the feeling can be powerful even when the relationship has no settled ending.
Green Entertainment's introduction frames the song around love stories that never become complete. Read in that light, the title suggests longing for a bond that exists emotionally but has yet to become whole. "Half" describes the unfinished story, rather than a measurement of how much someone cares.
