The Story Behind Changes
Changes is Asim Azhar's self-written pop song from Asim Ali, uploaded to his official channel on 24 November 2025. Azhar composed the track and wrote its lyrics, sharing production duties with Kumail Abbas. Jokhay mixed the recording, while Roshaan handled mastering.
The official release presents the song as a confession about personal growth and the difficulty of leaving old habits behind. Its Urdu verses move into conversational English, including direct acknowledgments of the other person's uncertainty. A returning refrain brings the writing back to longing and the wish to offer reassurance. Those shifts between explanation and appeal place Changes within the album's personal storytelling, with Azhar taking responsibility for both the words and the composition.
Meaning & Translation
Changes refers to the inner work of becoming someone a loved one can trust again. The speaker understands why past habits have made the other person cautious, yet hopes that time apart has helped him recognize his faults. He admits that improvement is unfinished rather than claiming to be perfect.
The refrain connects desire with a wish to become a source of peace for the beloved. Urdu expressions of yearning sit beside English reassurances, making the appeal feel conversational. The central tension is between saying you have changed and earning belief through consistent effort: affection alone cannot repair trust.
