The Story Behind Behkaway OST
Behkaway OST is the title song for Geo Entertainment's 2025 serial Behkaway, released as the drama introduced its story of temptation, betrayal and a family pushed toward rupture. Sahir Ali Bagga composed and performed the track, with lyrics by M. Mujtaba and arrangement and programming by Mujtaba Ali Choni. The song mirrors writer Samra Bukhari's drama: Zubair's attraction to Sitara threatens his marriage to Zeenat and turns private restlessness into consequences for the whole household. Bagga's solo lead makes that conflict feel like a personal reckoning, carrying the title's warning through an emotionally direct lament. The official soundtrack arrived just before the serial's Geo premiere in April 2025, giving the drama's central idea its own musical voice.
Meaning & Translation
Behkaway comes from the Urdu behkawa, a lure, deception or trap. The phrase behkaway mein aana means to be taken in by someone's words. In this OST, that idea frames love as a force capable of pulling a person away from judgment and loyalty. The song does not treat attraction as carefree romance. It connects temptation with betrayal, then shifts attention to the heartbreak borne by those left behind. Against the drama's conflict, the title points both to Zubair's self-deception and to the persuasive pull of Sitara. Its emotional argument is that a moment of desire can unsettle an entire household, while regret cannot quickly repair the trust it breaks.
