Hadiqa Kiani released "Bhit Ja Bhitai" in April 2017 as the Sindhi chapter and second installment of Wajd, Vol. 1, her project built around Pakistan's regional folk traditions. The classic devotional song honors Sufi poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai and marked Kiani's first recording in Sindhi. Irfan Kiani produced, arranged, recorded, mixed, and mastered the audio in a single-take live studio format at Shahi Qila. The ensemble keeps the performance earthy and spacious: harmonium from Irfan Kiani and Imran Ali supports Steve George's nylon-string guitar, Ustad Baqir Abbas's Japanese recorder, Sharafat Ali's khartaal, Asif Ali Goga's dholak, and Kiani's own damboor.
