Latthay Di Chaadar refers to a cotton sheet or shawl. In the Punjabi refrain, its slate grey colour becomes a playful image through which the singer calls her beloved closer and asks him not to pass by in a sulk. The medley widens that invitation through Dekh Tera: scent, colour and crowded memories describe how love can transform ordinary surroundings while still leaving a person lonely among others.
