The Story Behind Ujaalon Mein
Coke Studio Season 10 brought Ujaalon Mein back as a spacious rock duet for Faraz Anwar and Faiza Mujahid. The 2017 performance revisited the song Anwar had recorded with his progressive rock band Mizraab in 2006. Strings produced and directed the session, while Jaffer Zaidi shaped the arrangement around piano, swelling strings and Anwar's electric guitar. Adnan Ahmad wrote the lyrics, and Anwar supplied the original composition as well as the guest guitar part. Mujahid's clear, forceful vocal meets Anwar's rougher tone, turning the chorus into a shared release rather than a solo declaration. Rachel Viccaji, Shahab Hussain and Natasha Khan provide backing vocals, adding lift without crowding the lead pair.
