The Story Behind Deewar OST
Deewar OST is the title song for HUM TV's 2026 family drama Deewar, pairing Sahir Ali Bagga with Afshan Fawad. Bagga wrote and composed the track, while Azaan Zayer Bagga is credited for its music; the artists' official upload also credits M. Mujtaba alongside Bagga for the lyrics. Its two-voice billing suits a serial built around Sadia (Sunita Marshall), a single mother holding an extended family together as money, obligation and resentment pull at its seams. The title turns that domestic strain into one clear image: a wall rising between people who still belong to one another. Released by HUM TV in June 2026, the song gives Mamoona Aziz's family story an emotional frame without giving away its turns.
Meaning & Translation
Deewar means "wall" in Urdu. Here the word is less about bricks than the emotional barriers that grow inside a family: pride, money, duty and things left unsaid. Read through the drama's premise, the title suggests people living close together while becoming harder to reach. The song's meaning therefore sits between separation and attachment. The wall hurts precisely because affection remains on both sides of it. Rather than retelling the plot or translating the lyrics line by line, this is the useful English sense of the theme: relationships can be tested by social pressure and resentment, but the longing to cross that distance does not disappear.
