Dil Ruba arrived in April 2025 as part of Velo Sound Station Season 3, pairing Hasan Raheem's unhurried, conversational delivery with Annural Khalid's warmer upper register. Polarite Productions produced the track and shares its composition credit with both singers, who wrote the lyrics together; Polarite also handled the mix and master.
At five and a half minutes the song is built to unfold rather than hurry, letting a soft pop pulse and R&B leaning chords carry the two voices instead of pushing them toward an early chorus. Bilal Lashari, the season's executive producer, wrote and directed the accompanying film, trading the usual studio stage for a narrative shot on location in Lahore with a full cinema crew. That decision suits the record. Dil Ruba plays less like a performance than a scene, two singers circling the same longing from opposite sides of it.
