The Story Behind Ism-e-Yaraan OST
Ism-e-Yaraan OST pairs Ammar Ali Yasir's solo vocal with lyrics and composition by Ustad Shabih Sen for HUM TV's 2025 drama. Released on 18 August, this two-minute, 57-second recording has its own creative team: Akki Khan is the music producer, and Rung Studios is the credited studio.
The serial also has Raanjhan, the longer duet by Nabeel Shaukat Ali and Nimra Mehra released in June. Yasir's track is a separate soundtrack song, with a different vocalist, writer and composer. HUM TV introduces it through love, betrayal and unspoken emotions, placing the recording within the serial's troubled relationships. Its identity rests on that solo billing and Sen's combined authorship of the words and music.
Meaning & Translation
Ism-e-Yaraan brings together ism, meaning 'name', and yaraan, 'friends' or 'companions'. The connecting e means 'of', so a close English rendering is 'the name of companions'. In the drama's romantic setting, the phrase can suggest the loved people whose names remain charged with feeling.
HUM TV presents Ammar Ali Yasir's song through love, betrayal and emotions left unsaid. Read in that context, the title suggests how someone's name can hold affection and hurt at once. The emotional idea is attachment complicated by broken trust: a person remains important even as the relationship becomes painful.
