The Story Behind Kal Naheen

Kal Naheen brings Sherry Khattak's voice and guitar to Nescafé Basement Season 3, with production by Xulfi. Khattak's own release identifies the song as an Overdose original. Usman Sheikh plays lead guitar, Haider Abbas plays bass and Bilawal Lahooti plays drums, while Khattak and Turaab Khan also receive assistant-production credits.

The credited line-up gives the performance a guitar-led rock setting, pairing a separate lead-guitar part with the bass-and-drum foundation. Khattak shared this Nescafé Basement version on SoundCloud in April 2015, more than three years before the show's November 2018 YouTube upload. That earlier release places the recording in the Season 3 catalogue and connects its Overdose origins with the ensemble assembled for this performance.
