Na Ja Pardais

The Story Behind Na Ja Pardais

Na Ja Pardais is Salman Amjad Amanat Ali's 2022 love ballad, released through Shafqat Amanat Ali's official YouTube channel on 29 April. The channel presents Salman as a singer from the Patiala Gharana, placing the release in that vocal tradition.

Salman sings and writes the lyrics, with Ali Amjad Amanat Ali Khan credited as composer and Haider Ali Tipu credited for music. Chand, Jazab, Shafaat and Shoeb provide the chorus, giving the recording a supporting vocal ensemble alongside its lead singer. Afzal Hussain handles mixing and mastering. The accompanying video credits Asif Masood as director and Noor Khan as model. These separate song and video credits identify a standalone release built around Salman's voice and writing.

Meaning & Translation

Na Ja Pardais means "Don't go to a distant land." Pardais, also written pardes, refers to a place away from one's own home or country. In the title of a love ballad, those words can be read as a plea for a loved one to stay close. The emotional tension is between departure and attachment: the person leaving may see a journey, while the person left behind anticipates absence. This reading of the title gives the song a language of longing and vulnerability, with love expressed through the wish to prevent separation.
