Resham Gali Ki Husna OST

The Story Behind Resham Gali Ki Husna OST

Resham Gali Ki Husna is the 2019 title song for HUM TV's neighborhood comedy, sung by Jabar Abbas and Vaani Rao. Adrian David composed the track, and Shakeel Sohail wrote its lyrics. The broadcaster uploaded the OST on 20 July, a day before the series began.

The show follows Husna, played by Komal Meer, as she helps her neighbors in Resham Gali. Inayat Khan plays Hyder, her friend and neighbor. The two lead voices give the title theme a duet format that suits a story about lives meeting on the same street. HUM TV's episode credits name Hassan Imam as the serial's writer, Kamran Akbar Khan as its director, and Momina Duraid Productions as its production banner. The song places Husna's name and neighborhood at the front of that world.

Meaning & Translation

Resham Gali Ki Husna means "Husna of Resham Gali," identifying the woman through the street where she lives. Resham means silk and gali means lane, but here Resham Gali is the neighborhood's name, not a description of clothing. The Urdu word ki connects Husna to that place and the people who know her there. "Husna from Resham Gali" brings the idea into natural English: a person recognized by her community. In the drama, Husna helps her neighbors, so the title carries warmth and familiarity. Its meaning rests in a particular woman and street, rather than a distant, idealized romance.
