The Story Behind Aankhon Ke Saagar
Aankhon Ke Saagar was the first song composed and recorded for Fuzon's 2002 debut album, Saagar, and became the trio's breakthrough single. It took shape during an informal session at Imran Momina's studio, where guitarist Shallum Asher Xavier played a melody he had been developing and Shafqat Amanat Ali began humming over it. Shafqat formed the title phrase and early words on the spot, then the three musicians completed the writing and arrangement together. Imran's keyboards, Shallum's guitar, and Shafqat's classically trained voice place raga Yaman inside an accessible rock setting, balancing an open texture with an increasingly urgent vocal performance.
