The Story Behind Hadh Se Zyada

Hadh Se Zyada is the 2024 original soundtrack for HUM TV's Hum Dono, performed and composed by Azaan Sami Khan, who also plays Asad in the drama. A. M. Turaz wrote the lyrics, while Alex Shahbaz produced the music for a romance built around Asad and Wafa, two young people separated by class and family pressures. Khan's restrained vocal keeps the promise at the center of the song intimate rather than theatrical. The arrangement broadens that feeling with Vicky Ali's guitar, Aahad Nayani's drums, Sharoon Leo's violin, Rahat Inayat Ali's flute, and Nadeem Iqbal's harmonium. Together, those acoustic colors give the track the scale of a television theme while preserving the solitude and ache carried by its words.

Meaning & Translation

Hadh se zyada means "beyond the limit" or "more than anything." The song presents love as a promise that survives distance, loneliness, and even separation. Its speaker believes devotion may require leaving the beloved for their own good, yet insists that memory will keep the bond alive. Images of becoming a jogi, weaving a sacred chadar, and gathering broken dreams turn romance into a form of spiritual surrender. That tension gives the refrain its force: this is not carefree affection, but love so absolute that protection and pain become inseparable. The title therefore describes both the depth of the feeling and the dangerous point where devotion exceeds ordinary limits.
